Free legal help when relative and kinship caregivers need it most

Keeping Families Connected Minnesota provides free legal support to relatives and kin to keep children rooted in their family and community.

When parents are not able to care for their child, a grandparent, aunt, uncle or adult sibling often steps up. If there's a court case, the parents get a lawyer. The relative who steps up doesn't. Keeping Families Connected Minnesota is that lawyer. Our attorneys work only with relative and kinship caregivers - free, anywhere in the state, from a quick consult to full representation - working to protect family relationships.

"Your advice made me brave." - from a caregiver after receiving help on our hotline
